Title:  The increasing polarization of American politics, its effects on

foreign policy, and how to simulate it in wargaming

Abstract: Post-Cold War American political conflict features a growing polarization in many areas of governance, including foreign policy.  This trend adds a new challenge to the business of gaming strategic-level scenarios, particularly when they take place in election years.  We will examine the problem and some possible approaches to designing credible methods that reflect the political environment.
